The Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) mourns the heartbreaking loss of Mrs. Chifundo Sayidi, who until her passing served as the Executive Assistant in the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor.

Mrs. Sayidi passed away on 8th August 2024 at Blantyre Adventist Hospital. She will be laid to rest on 10th August 2024 at Kandodo Cemetery in Zomba.

Mrs. Sayidi was a pillar of administrative support within the university’s senior leadership office. Her work ethic, discretion, and organizational brilliance were second to none. Always calm under pressure, she was the trusted bridge between executive management and the broader MUBAS community.

But beyond her professional contributions, Mrs. Sayidi was the heartbeat of her office — kind, dignified, and ever helpful. Her infectious smile and quiet strength brought light to those around her. She nurtured friendships across departments and was widely loved and respected for her humility, emotional intelligence, and unwavering dedication to duty.

Her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled. The university has lost not just a colleague, but a friend, a confidant, and a devoted servant of higher education.
