It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Collins Namakhwa, who passed away in Zomba on 10th October 2025.
Mr. Namakhwa joined the MUBAS on 20th October 2008 as a Staff Associate in Marketing Management in the Department of Business Management. Through his unwavering dedication and commitment to academic growth, he pursued further studies and earned a Master’s Degree from the University of Malawi.
In recognition of his hard work and excellence in teaching, he was promoted to the position of Lecturer in Marketing on 30th June 2018. Mr. Namakhwa was also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), where he actively contributed to advancing the marketing profession in Malawi.
He will be fondly remembered as a passionate educator, a mentor to many, and a respected colleague whose humility and professionalism left a lasting impact on all who worked with him. His legacy of dedication and service will continue to inspire the MUBAS community and beyond.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
